Socks socks socks!

Tänään postaukseen ei tule kuvia sillä työn alla on sukkia, toinen tulee sukkavaihtokaverilleni ja toinen joululahjaksi... Sukkavaihtokaverille on ollut erityisen mukavaa neuloa: löysin aivan ihanan mallin ja lankakin (fortissima color) oli entuudestaan tuntematon ja yllätti positiivisesti. Erityisen miellyttävä tämä projekti on siksi että vain toinen neuloja voi oikeasti ymmärtää hienoudet tässä! Tällaiset sukat haluan itsellenikin. Tosin en olut uskoa silmiäni kun ohje alkoi näin: "Luo 160 s...", siis häh? Nämähän ovat sukat! Loin 160 s ja sain kuin sainkin hienot sukat... Nyt sukat kuitenkin odottavat lisätietoja kaveriltani, joten puikoille pääsi joululahja sukat; sama lanka, eri väri ja malli. Myös tällaiset haluan itselleni!

No pictures this time as I'm working on a pair of socks to my sock exchange friend and a christmas gift... It has been especially wonderful to work on the socks to my exchange friend, as the yarn (fortissima color) is new to me, as is the pattern. Both have been a lovely experience - I love the pattern and the color and texture of this yarn. And I'm especially happy to knit this to another knitter, as only a knitter can understand certain things... I have to make a sock like this to myself as well! The only thing that worries me a bit was the pattern sayng: "Cast on 160 stitches..." What? Hey, this IS a sock... Anyway, it turned out just lovely and now I'm waiting for more information from this other knitter, so the socks will have a moment of rest until I get it. On to my mother's Christmas socks... Same yarn, different color and a different pattern.... . I love these too!

Mystery shawl on edennyt 4 vihjeen verran ja perjantaina saamme ilmeisesti viimeisen vihjeen. Huivi on kaunis, mutta ainakin tällä hetkellä näyttää aika pieneltä, joten jos viimeinen vihje ei ole kovin pitkä tulee tästä lähinnä hartian lämmitin... Saa nähdä...

The Mystery shawl has progressed and I have now finished clue nr 4. Friday we will, If I have understood it right, get the fifth and final clue. The shawl is beautiful, but seems to me a bit small, so unless the last clue is massive, I may end up with a shoulder warmer instead of a full sized shawl... Let's wait and see...
